Back from the hospital

I had my d&c and hysteroscopy. I argued with the gasser, a guy of course, about not wanting general and not wanting Versed, and finally convinced him to do a saddle block. He said it was like hitting a thumbtack with a sledgehammer, which makes me wonder what the hell they think of general as... he also said I was a control freak, but then admitted that he was too and if he was a woman, frankly, this is how he would do it too. @@

So they did the block, and I was just sitting there humming along wondering when they would start... then the doc said 'OK, we're almost done!' So that's what all the slurping noises were.

He said my uterus and the top of my cervix was fused shut, probably with scar tissue from the ablation. He sent a wadge of it to the lab, and I suppose I'll be hearing back sometime soon. He didn't seem worried. I do have some nice photos of what looks like a pink cold front, though. And I was home in time for lunch.

Anyway, for those of you who wished me well, thanks, and I'm doing fine. Gonna go take a nap now- I stayed up 'til 2am like an idiot and I'm beat! I'll probably post more about it later for the squick-curious.
