Dec. 14th, 2001 08:48 amBusy busy- today I'm hosting our monthly New Moon gathering. I am a real advocate of making the darkest time of year a time of rest, relaxation, reflection, and other 'r' words. This directly flies in the face of the current cultural norm of parties, buying stuff, and generally stressing yourself out. So our New Moon will be sitting and listening to soothing music, burning incense, foot rubs, and ordering pizza. I should call it 'a PMS Christmas'. But it does mean I need to do some serious house cleaning. Blah.
Also, SR (Siamese Rescue) wants me to pick up 2 kittens from the local animal shelter. I tried to do it yesterday, but they weren't 'worked up' yet, whatever that means. This will teach me to talk to a person before driving across town next time. I was gonna, but I got struck by a perverted muse yesterday and wrote a 6-page erotic story and before I realized it was 4 o'clock. Rush hour was already well underway, and no one picked up when I called, and I didn't want to wait for someone to call me back. So, I took my chances. Blah.
Tomorrow is River's Yule celebration; I need to whip out some invokations for that as well. And I need to pay bills. Man, I'm not getting a lot of relaxation, am I?
