Nov. 14th, 2001 12:21 pmI got a bunch of Sting CDs to listen to at work since I liked his earlier jazzy stuff, and there was a deal on eBay. He'd always struck me as a snobbish British guy, but not anymore. One is a country-western sounding song where he tells a story about being one of 7 brothers competing for the hand of the only girl in the village, so he kills the rest of them... The other is called 'Fill Her Up' and talks about all the things you (a man) should fill your woman up with- love, spirit, like that- and one line actually says 'Fill her up with babies.' *drops heavy thing on foot in horror, doesn't notice*
It looks like rain. We need rain, but I also need to go on a camp-out this weekend. Theoretically it's to watch the meteor shower, which will be hard to see if it's raining. Flarn.
The towing tapped my extra funds for the month, which sucks. I was paid on my last paycheck as if I had been working 40 hours a week instead of 30, and I'm just waiting for them to ask for the extra back. I suppose the truly ethical thing to do would be to tell them about it. But I am sorely tempted. I'm out of real money (I put the extra in another account so it's invisible) and Eric's birthday is this month. Dammit, dammit, dammit. I don't know if this 30 hours a week thing will work; we are behind on bills already, and he's not been getting many hours at Nerdz.
I also went to band practice, and no one was there. Either they changed things and I didn't find out, or they've changed where practice is. I join up with the community band every year around this time to play for the Christmas season- I guess I need to email them and ask them what happened.

I was idly poking around eBay (I do that) and ran across the most absolutely stunning purple and blue silk robe, with a phoenix embroidered on it. I want it so badly, my mouth is watering. Hey, it's my birthday soon, right? *sits on hands, tries not to look at credit card*
