'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn' is a chapter out of Wind in the Willows, and it's pretty much a stand-alone story. And it's one of my favorite pieces of literature. You can read it here:

It's inspired other work, including the aforementioned Pink Floyd album.

If you look at BPAL's site, all of their stuff has amazingly long descriptions that often only relate to the smelly stuff in the most tenuous ways. That's part of their charm for some people. Me, I like their stuff with patchouli in it (stinky hippies FTW!), and tying it to Pan is a good way to sell me anything (me=sucker).
